Summer Jeep Build - Part 4 325 days ago

Summer Jeep Build - Part 4 The lift has commenced. To be honest it really hasn't been that difficult thus far -just time consuming. Don't let these 4x4 shops fool you, this stuff is simple. Ask questions on your local forum, have a knowledgeable friend help out, and make sure you've got all the right tools.... Read More

Summer Jeep Build - Part 1 336 days ago

Summer Jeep Build - Part 1 The stars have finally aligned, I get to commit to a project that will forever change my Jeep. As it sits right now my TJ is at 63,000 miles with stock control arms, stock springs, and a 2" budget boost (rubber spacers) with the worst shocks in the entire world. When I remove it all I will post what brand they are. Over the course of the next few weeks I am going to attempt (without any shop help) to install and fabricate some awesome stuff.... Read More

Summer Jeep Build - Part 2 336 days ago

Summer Jeep Build - Part 2 To start this build I decided that I was going to seal up the half cab and apply another coat of bedliner. Then just leave it to dry while I worked on the underside of the Jeep.... Read More

Summer Jeep Build - Part 3 327 days ago

Summer Jeep Build - Part 3 This past Sunday was another full day in the shop. I spent the day finishing up the rear end -getting it all squared away so I could start on the cab. This build has been a great time for me to just get everything fixed and redone that has just deteriorated and gone bad over the years.... Read More

ORO LiteDOT LED Tail Lights 843 days ago

ORO LiteDOT LED Tail Lights Stock Jeeps come with some of the bulkiest tail lights I have ever seen. Some companies even build metal cages for housing these bricks! Recently my girlfriend purchased me a set of these ORO LiteDOT tail lights, and she even helped me install them.... Read More

Homemade Lightbar 843 days ago

Homemade Lightbar I worked all summer, and had nothing to do. So I decided to design a lightbar for the Jeep unlike any ever built before. Like most semi-trucks there is a triangulated visor over the windshield for blocking the sun, so I decided to incorporate this into my design because I like the look, and I also needed it to block the light thrown from the KC's.... Smittybuilt XRC 8 & Go There Engineering Ranch Hand Bumper 368 days ago

Smittybuilt XRC 8 & Go There Engineering Ranch Hand Bumper Finally, I no longer have to carry around a come along in my trunk. The winch took no time at all to install, and really does not need a write up. My front bumper did need to be removed in order to install the front set of bolts, but other than that, I had no issues.... Read More

Summer Jeep Build - Part 5 310 days ago

Summer Jeep Build - Part 5 Yesterday I started on the steering system and the and continued working on the front end. Adding the arms, welding on the upper brackets and the track bar bracket. Everything has been going fairly smooth. I used my 5 ton gear puller to remove the pitman arm on my old steering box, but after the third time it shot off (even after applying heat and a hammer) I took it to a shop a quarter mile from the house.... Summer Jeep Build - Part 6 304 days ago

Summer Jeep Build - Part 6 The suspension is finally done! Parking brakes are completed (and working much better than stock). Rear disc's lock up the tires perfectly. Couldn't be happier with this build. Everything has come together so well. The 8.8 has been a real treat to install.... Read More

Summer Jeep Build - Part 7 294 days ago

Summer Jeep Build - Part 7 On Friday I began working on the interior of my Jeep. I have been driving around for a while with everything ripped completely out. With the new Tuffy center console a basic audio setup and many accessories I began by figuring out where I wanted to place everything. I started by leaving the Fusion marine amp where I originally had it, and placing the relay box I made on the opposing side.... Read More

Custom TJ Switch Panel 74 days ago

Custom TJ Switch Panel This past weekend while visiting a friend and aiding him with a hi-line mod we decided to venture out and test my lights in a nearby field... I have been using a set of rather cheap custom switches made through a foreign company and while showcasing my lights one of switches malfunctioned causing a short in my imperfect electrical system. Tons of smoke and near fire later I disconnected the main accessory lead... Read More
